Lady Captain Brilliance
Jane Guckian produced a stunning 42 points to top the charts in the Noni 4 stableford. A quite stunning card that had her streets clear of all would-be-winners. It's got Jane's handicap chopped 3 shots, to 25.
Silver division winner with 34 points was Morag Ross. Winner of the Green Tee stableford on the same day was Rosey James with a big haul of 42 points. After Rosey's putting lesson on Monday it was yet another case of the AIZ strikes again!
White Tee Medal
It all changed late in the day on Saturday. Chris Gilman was leading for the majority with his nett 73, despite his putting letting him down. Garry Cuthbert then popped up with a slightly better back nine putting him on top via countback.
But whilst Garry was putting his scores in the computer, eight handicapper Ian Farrer was busy carding a phenomenal gross level par front nine! This meant he could afford the odd blip on the way in and still manage to grind out a well earnt victory that gets him cut back to seven.
Last man in, Rob Semple carded a 73 to grab second. Rob's got a great swing and there's no reason he can't be playing from single figures shortly.
Rob's playing partner Graeme Lee was also right up there before the sun got to him on the final few holes!
AGC on Tour
Alwoodley took a brilliant five teams to the joint Captains' Day at Headingley last week, where Neil & Laura Crawford, playing with Neil Brown and Chris Brown in the stableford best 2 of 4 to count and won!
Jim Gribbon then followed that up with a 3rd place finish at a packed Moortown invitation day.
