Let's keep playing (but safely)...
Firstly, I am sorry this newsletter has taken time to come out. There has been many tough decisions to make before getting to this stage and even now the situation could change further.
However, I wanted to let you know that the Pro Shop will remain open as long as possible with slightly shorter shop opening hours and reduced staff presence.
8.30am to 5.00pm - Monday to Friday 7.15am to 5.00pm - Saturday 8.00am to 5.00pm - Sunday
Opening times will be kept updated on the Member page of the Club website.
My intention is to employ a rotation system. Each working day there will be just one member of staff inside the shop and one, sometimes two, members of staff ‘outside’ coaching, collecting range balls, keeping the whole club environment tidy and maybe even playing golf. Customers are requested to remain just through the door of the pro shop and business will be carried out from there. Credit/Debit cards will be processed verbally, with pro shop staff inputting details. Cash payments are no longer accepted. The range and practice facilities will remain open with range ball basket handles sanitised between users but short game tubes will not be available. You are encouraged to wash your hands before and after practice. Coaching services continue and the teaching team are very keen to carry on with tuition and fittings. These will take place outdoors as the Swing Studio will be closed. All demo/fitting/coaching clubs and equipment will be sanitised between users and ‘social distancing’ will be observed. As Government guidance is liable to change, we are monitoring the situation and will react when required. Both Oli and Mike have been incredible, and I/we are lucky to have them. Gill has been immense with many of the new systems and protocols being her ideas which I simply pinch and make my own… All in all, we have a team that is upbeat, positive and ready for what lies ahead. |
